WRITING A COVER LETTER

A general cover letter is a guide for the reader which highlights your qualification, your work history and your skills. It is not just a cover to your resume but is far more than that. So always try to write a good cover letter which not only covers your resume but also be an opening shot in your job hunt. Here is a sample general cover letter: 15 th  June, 2010 Dear Mr. Jain, I have found an advertisement posted on employmentnews.co for the post of radio jockey in your channel. When you are applying for any degree course or applying for higher studies, make sure that your cover letter should picture your vision and mission clearly. Your cover letter should be framed in a manner that it will explain your education, skills and experiences that are needed to join the course. Try not to show off but request in a way that the reader will praise you and show his interest in you. Here is a sample PhD cover letter: Dr. K.V.
